The houses on Bryanston Square are predominantly Georgian in style, with many of them dating back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Murray Birrell Chartered Building Surveyors carried out a full building repairs survey on high value homes in Marylebone for The Portman Estate.  Our service included the formulation of tender and contract documents and contract administration duties.

Bryanston Square is a prestigious garden Square located in the heart of the flourishing residential area of Marylebone in Central London. It was developed in the 18th century as part of The Portman Estate, one of London's largest and most influential landowners.

The attractive garden at its centre is only accessible to residents of the Square and their guests.

Works involved full scale enveloping including roofs, walls, full external redecoration and refurbishment of the regency roof light. The houses are highly sought after by affluent individuals and families, and are some of the most expensive properties in London. Given the profile of the residents, successful completion required quality “people skills” as well as professional building surveyor expertise when carrying out property inspections.

Bryanston Square is situated just north of Oxford Street, and is bordered by Bryanston Street to the north, George Street to the east, Portman Square to the west, and Upper Berkeley Street to the south.
