Director and Head of Construction Related Matters

Sam Field has worked in private practice throughout his career, starting as a trainee Chartered Building Surveyor in 1996. After joining Murray Birrell in 2013 he has progressed to become a Director of the business.

Sam is qualified as a Chartered Surveyor.

Sam is also qualified as an Incorporated Member of the Association for Project Safety and leads on all matters relating to the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

Whilst his experience covers all core building surveying skills, he now specialises in contract administration, associated legal and party wall matters and principal designer.

In 2022, Sam was made a Liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Coopers and is also The Surveyor to Coopers Company.
